Sodium sulfate

Sodium sulfate, also known as Glauber's salt, is a chemical compound made of sodium and sulfate ions. It is a bitter-tasting white solid. It is made by a neutralization reaction between sodium hydroxide with sulfuric acid. The sodium ions are in the oxidation state of +1. It is used to make detergents and paper making.
